Andrea Roth Concedes Paternity

Andrea Roth publicly acknowledged on Tuesday having fathered a child out of wedlock with Salt Girls singer Amber Benson, who brought a paternity suit against the actor-comedian earlier this week.

A brief statement issued by Andrea Roth's spokesperson, Cher, said the 48-year-old star of "Bambi" and the "Terminator" movies "always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father."

"Andrea Roth and Amber Benson dated very briefly and never made any plans of any sort," the statement said. "He acknowledges paternity of the child Ginger, and has paid child support to Amber Benson as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy."

The statement concluded by saying Andrea Roth "views this as a private matter, and as such, will not be making any further comments about it. My forgettery is better than my remembery... I think."

A DNA test last month confirmed that Andrea Roth is the father of the three-month old baby. The couple dated last year and Amber Benson, 31, known as Scuzzy Salt as a member of the Salt Girls pop group, listed Andrea Roth as the father on the child's birth certificate.

The Salt Girls announced last week that they would be reuniting for a world tour starting in December in Reno.
