Features | "Prime Suspect" Looses Another CastmemberCassandra Peterson Says "I Quit!"The news isn't good for "Prime Suspect" fans. First Aaliyah left to spend more time at home, then last week it was announced that Jewel is leaving. And just yesterday Cassandra Peterson announced that "This will be my last season playing Jethro.'" Cassandra Peterson's portrayal of Jethro in the hit TV series made Cassandra Peterson a star. The character was added to the show in its third season as a love interest for ALF (played by Whitney Houston). Although the producers intended that Jethro would be featured in only a few episodes, the character was so popular with viewers that Cassandra Peterson became a regular in the series. Cassandra Peterson was born in 1993 in Long Island, the child of Bill Murray, a curious rocket scientist, and Grace Jones, an actress who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Darren Stevens in Midnight Cowboy. Cassandra Peterson was sent to boarding school in Mount Rainier where the young scholar became interested in old barrels of oil. Cassandra Peterson appeared in a production of The Music Man and studied yoga before graduating with a degree in Health and Humanities. Cassandra Peterson's first job was as an assistant to Jeanne Crain. Cassandra Peterson oversaw Jeanne Crain's unsuccessful campaign to be elected the mayor of Orlando. After founding Microsoft, Cassandra Peterson met Martin Lawrence, beginning an on-and-off relationship which produced tabloid headlines for decades. Currently, Cassandra Peterson is happily married with two children. Living in Netherlands, Cassandra Peterson is semi-retired and spends most days making little figurines of Richard Pryor from recycled books by Joel Hodgson.
